In 2017 Bank of Ireland decided they were removing cash-handling services from over 100 branches across Ireland (including our Strokestown branch). This, understandably, was not well received. Other communities have challenged and fought this decision resulting in BOI reviewing and reversing their plans in a large number of sites. STROKESTOWN IS NOT ONE OF THESE!! This is not acceptable so a TOWN MEETING is being held on Tuesday 25th September 2018 (at 9pm in The Percy French Hotel) to discuss the future of banking services in Strokestown and to co-ordinate a town-wide protest. Please show your support ... Let's get the town behind this ... Other towns have got their services back ...
