The 21st Strokestown Poetry Festival launches at 7pm, on Thursday April 18th 2019, in Poetry Ireland (Dublin) with an eclectic mix of new and established poets reading their work ahead of the festival (2nd May until 6th May). The launch evening will also include the reveal of this year’s Festival Anthology featuring poems shortlisted for festival competitions and from invited guests. The Cashin family lost everything in a devastating fire, just before Christmas, which destroyed their home and everything in it. With 3 kids, a mortgage and now €750 rent on a long list of bills to be paid, it can be very challenging.
