Following on from the fantastic Community event, in October, we now have a further opportunity to demonstrate our community focus, bringing our excellent schools, proactive businesses, families and local groups together. Join us in Strokestown on Friday 10 & Saturday 11 November 2017. We encourage you to invite your families and friends to come along on the day and see all that Strokestown Enterprise Town has to offer. Strokestown GAA is holding a 'Fun Walk' tomorrow (Saturday 04/11/17) to raise proceeds for it's pitch development fund. Starting at the GAA clubhouse at 11am, the 5km route is suitable for all types of walker. More details are available direct from the GAA committee. Get your feet on and support them :-) This Halloween learn the traditional craft of making a homemade barmbrack. On 28/10/17 children will be supervised in mixing and pouring their cake mix into individual trays before they are placed in the oven. While the cakes are baking there will be a guided tour of the Galleried kitchen of Strokestown Park House. Children and parents will hear how cooks of the past cooked for the household in times gone by. Afterwards enjoy a slice of your own homemade barmbrack cake or take it home for later! Parental supervision is required. This event is recommended for children aged 5+. Click HERE for more info. DID YOU ATTEND SCOIL MHUIRE ?
