world mental health day ... darkness into light

To mark World Mental Health Day, Pieta House asked the Darkness into Light Strokestown Committee to plant a Cherry Blossom Tree as a symbol of Hope 💚💛

While the tree was planned by the committee, the planting would not have been possible without the help and support of the Strokestown Tidy Towns Team ... we would like to thank Melissa Newman, Pat and Annette Feeley for being our resident gardeners this morning.

We would also like to thank PJ Martin for making a magnificent frame to surround the tree and also, the students in Drumshanbo Vocational School for designing and creating the beautiful plaque that is positioned at the front of the tree 💛

We hope that when you pass this tree in the Grotto Community Garden, that you will find it to be a comforting place to remember your loved one, a place to feel some hope for the future and a place to remember that it is okay not to be okay.  💛💚
