Another year over and another jump up the score board. A 14 point increase on 2022!! Here is the report in full for EVERYONE to see. Keeping #Strokestown "tidy" is everyone's responsibility … we just try and put in the hours to make it that bit more beautiful. From us … Thank you to everyone who turns up for clean up days, litter picks, bulb planting, weeding, painting, picking, strimming, mowing and the administrative efforts in the background which are HUGE. #Community has been our big focus, making getting involved easier, more fun and inclusive. That has been picked up by the adjudicator which means we are getting it right. Thank you to the residents of our estates who have become a part of our "Core Group" who have their own ideas for their estate (and we are helping them where we can) … if you want to know more get in touch. Thank you to the students of Scoil Mhuire Strokestown who made the most of their time last year and were a pleasure to be working with. The future is absolutely safe with those coming in a short few years. Thank you to Laura's Canine Academy and Friends and Country Club Kennels for being apart of a campaign to reduce the amount of dog fouling in the town. We just need someone to train the dog owners now! Thank you to Cosgrove/McGuinness - SuperValu Strokestown for their ongoing and generous support with our ongoing efforts. Next year we have the increased pressure of Strokestown Ccé hosting the Connaught Fleadh … we might (WILL ) be asking some of our community businesses for some help with window boxes and planters. Thank you to the committee members, and Core Group, for believing, backing, supporting and making the Strokestown Tidy Town Group such fun. Having a laugh is absolutely vital and we are delighted to have such a friendly bunch but we could do with a few more … Don't be shy, we don’t over burden people with work … do what you can, when you can #GiveOneHour. Remember ... #strokestown #ourtown #yourtown #mytown #tidytown #community #StrongerTogether
