Strokestown Golf Club hosted it's first outing from the Disabled and Inclusive Golf Association on Sunday August 27th. Golfers traveled from all over Ireland for this all abilities event, promoted by Golf Ireland. It was a very successful outing, with players, families and volunteers enjoying the high standard of golf played in the sunshine. The club would like to thank the following: * Sarah Banville and representatives from Golf Ireland for coordinating the event; * The Ladies committee for providing the refreshment, food and for their welcoming hospitality; * Club Captain, Junior Captain, club members, junior members, Brendan Kiernan, Peter Hanley and the groundcare staff who volunteered on the day and did tremendous work in preparing the course for the event.
