Congratulations to students Leon Yu, Joseph Mulrennan, Oisín Tiernan, Jack Fallon, Keelan Cuff and Callum Clarke from Scoil Mhuire Strokestown at the Garda Youth Awards held at Roscommon County Council offices.

Strokestown Town Team is delighted to see our initiative of the "Strokestown Teen Team" being rewarded. Leon, Joseph, Oisín, Jack and Keelan are at the forefront of this exciting community development.

Strokestown Town Team is the first to trial this initiative to date with the Christmas Market, Christmas lights, community clean up days and other events. Bringing our youth and young people into the community is vital to ensure that rural towns and areas grow and thrive.

Callum received his "Outstanding Achievement Award" for his brave efforts, saving his grandfather from an upturned boat last year.
