south Roscommon family RESOURCE CENTRE ... BACKWARDS & FORWARDS

31/3/2020

Picture
South Roscommon Family Resource Centre is running a new programme ‘Backwards and Forwards’ for anyone who may be interested in taking part.

Sessions will run weekly begin on Tuesday 31st March 2020 (from 7pm- 9pm) plus occasional Saturdays (subject to updated advice relating to Coronavirus) in
Vita House Family Centre, Abbey Street, Roscommon.

The programme aims to increase the resilience of men and women who may feel they need support in progressing in their life. Something may have happened in their life that effects how they live their life or even view their life now. A person may be stuck in a rut and finding it hard to untangle themselves with no support. Maybe they feel they do know how to go about moving forward in theory but for some reason is having difficulty in putting into reality.

Participants will have the opportunity to engage in a range of life-enhancing modules to sustain mind, body and soul in a friendly, social and non-academic setting. It has been specially designed and developed by a group of professionals with a wealth of experience and expertise in the health and wellbeing sector.

Set modules will include learning about how you mindset affects your actions, mindfulness and positive living, the importance of self-care, living a happier life, reflecting on the past and using it as a tool for moving forward, movement and dance workshops, being actively present for our family members and friends when they are sharing their personal stories and/or experiences with you, diet and nutrition and also individual sessions with a life coach.

There will be additional modules included in the schedule based on the suggestions and requirements of the participants, as identified at the time of registration. We invite participants to share their areas of interest as well as their experiences and challenges, so that we can best address the needs of the group. While it is not necessary to commit to every module, it will be most beneficial to those who partake in the entire programme. The programme is open to all adults, all
genders, from all types of backgrounds. Your input is valued; each time you share, you are helping other participants to learn. This programme was designed to help participants gain a greater understanding of themselves and their place in the world, in a relaxed atmosphere of growth and openness.

Fee: Registration fee of €5 per module
